Aberdeen Real Estate
The commercial center of Moore County for many years, thanks to its site along the railroad and four principal roads, the Town of Aberdeen was originally settled in the 1700s by Scottish Highlanders. The original commercial center of the town is now a historic district, listed on the National Register of Historic Places and offers antique shops, art galleries, and unique gift shops.
The Aberdeen Parks and Recreation Department offers sports leagues and a variety of youth, adult and senior programs, including exercise programs, trips, and classes on topics such as art, scrapbooking, ballet, modeling and more. Aberdeen Lake Park is the largest of the town's three public parks, covering almost 80 acres, with a 39.5-acre lake. Aberdeen is home to about 4,000 residents.
