| Womack Army Medical Center on Ft. Bragg is one of the largest military hospitals in the country, and is open to all active duty military personnel. For military personnel living more than 40 miles outside of Ft. Bragg, and retired military personnel, the TRICARE program is available, allowing you to receive medical care at other facilities. This includes FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst. The TRICARE program has multiple plans designed for individual situations.
For dental care, active duty personnel may go to the Military Dental Clinic on Ft. Bragg, and retirees may use the TRICARE Dental Plan. Once a retiree reaches 65, they become Medicare eligible. For prescriptions, military on the TRICARE plan can choose one of three options: use any approved pharmacy for a 30-day supply; use a mail-order program to obtain a 90-day supply; or, use the Womack Medical Center on Ft. Bragg for free prescriptions. |
